Betty Jo Roland McDonald

Betty Jo Roland McDonald, 88, formerly of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday October 29, 2019 at Heartland Living and Rehab Center in Greensboro.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday November 1, 2019 at Oasis Baptist Church, Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens.

A native of Kingsport, TN,  she was a daughter of the late Dewey and Allie Hicks Roland and had lived in Reidsville most of her life. She was a retired employee of Cone Mills Edna Plant and a member of Oasis Baptist Church. Betty  was preceded in death by her husband Joseph W. McDonald, sons: Joey McDonald, and Mike McDonald,   a brother: Bud Roland, and sisters: Hazel Purgason, Edith Moore, Jean Dickerson, and Margaret Belton.

Survivors include a son: Patrick McDonald (Lisa) of Reidsville, NC, daughters: Kathy Rickman (Stan) of Skipwith, VA, Susie Brust (Carl) of Greensboro, and Patty McDonald (Mike) of Eden, a brother: Eddie Roland (Frances) of Eden, eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to: Oasis Baptist Church 865 Crowder Rd. Madison, NC  27025.

The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Thursday October 31, 2019  at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of her daughter Susie Brust 5720 Green Apple Dr. Greensboro, NC.
