Barbara Ann (Doss) Knight

Barbara Doss Knight, 85, of Reidsville (10-11-1939 till 08-12-2025).

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, August 16, 2025 in Evergreen Memory Gardens at 2:00 PM with Dr. Greg Robertson officiating

On the morning of 08-12-2025 our precious loved one went to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven. She has always wanted to see Jesus and talked about what a great day that would be for her.

While here with us she had very strong likes and dislikes.  She loved her coffee, 2 cups every morning was a must.  She loved to eat, she called it “feeding my face” while sharing “just a bite” with her dog Coco.  She especially liked hot dogs, spaghetti, and vegetable soup with a grilled cheese sandwich.  She enjoyed word puzzles and picture albums of our family.  Her favorite tv shows were The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie.  She loved her bible, with her favorite chapters being Psalms 23 and Psalms 91.  Her family was her everything and she loved us without restrictions. Her greatest dislike was discord and disagreements within the family.  She loved all her grandchildren but because she had no boys, her grandsons could do no wrong.  Above everything else, she would tell everyone that she was a child of the King.  Barbara was a former CNA and Phlebotomist with Cone Hospital and she was of Pentecostal faith.

Upon her arrival in Heaven, she was greeted by her Mama Mattie Doss, her husband Wayne Knight, her daughter Stephanie Knight, her granddaughter Tabitha Miller, her brothers Doug, James, Charles and William Doss and her sister Helen Grogan.

Those left to honor her memory are, two daughters Melanie and Mary Knight(Hal). Her grandchildren Jonathan Knight(Blanca), Colin Knight, Allison Isley(Matthew), Allison Poteat, Chastity Poteat Lynn(William), Ashley Patrick(Mark) and Daniel Patrick(Ashley). Her great grandchildren, Brandon Poteat(Christy), Makayla Walker, Abbie Miller (Jason), Lailynn Lewis, Evan Lewis, Colton Patrick, Michael Russ, Michael Knight, Gia Knight Gzz and Gabriel Knight Gzz. Her sister, Brenda Wingfield and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
