Anne Lindsey Rudd

Anne Lindsey Rudd, 79, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Gibson House Hospice Home.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Wes Pitts officiating and burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.

A native of Rockingham Co., Anne was the daughter of the late Edgar LeRoy and Frances Irving Lindsey and she had lived in Reidsville all of her life. Anne was a 1964 graduate of Reidsville High School and later attended Queens College before returning to Reidsville where she married Danny Rudd on October 22,1966 at First Presbyterian Church.  She had a long career in the banking industry for over 20 years and was the longtime former office manager of Chilton’s Automotive.    Anne was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband:  William Daniel ”Danny”  Rudd III.

She is survived by her brothers:  David LeRoy Lindsey (Rae) of Greensboro and Samuel Edgar Lindsey (Margo) of Reidsville, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law:  Danny and Sarah Jane Prook of Reidsville, her loving nieces and nephews:  Ted Jones, Justin Jones, Sarah Elizabeth Smith, Laura Cassell, Stephanie Austria, Caroline Trautman and Adam Lindsey, and 13 great nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by very special friends: Marvin and Sarah Bullock, Zack Chilton, Linda Cain, Joe Wall, and Bob Moore, her godchildren:  Sammy Bullock and Mark Bullock.
