Alvin Lee Stevens, 82, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Saturday November 1, 2025 at his home after a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Friday November 7, 2025 in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Caleb Layne officiating. The family will see friends 1:30 till 2:30 PM Friday November 7, 2025 before the funeral service at Citty Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Alfred L. and Lorene Mabe Stevens and had lived his entire life in Reidsville. A retired mechanic with Black Cadillac Oldsmobile in Greensboro he was a US Air Force veteran. Alvin was an active member of College Park Baptist Church, until his health declined, where he taught Sunday School and was a former Deacon. He enjoyed reading and studying his Bible, he loved cars and everything about them, and truly enjoyed watching old westerns on television. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Thomas P. Stevens.
Survivors include his wife of 17 Years: Barbara Taylor Stevens of the home. His son: Allen Klaiber (Denise) of Delaware, OH, his grandchildren: Jeffrey Klaiber and Sebastian Klaiber, a niece: Angie Echols of Somerset, KY, and nephews: Thomas Stevens (Rhonda) of Georgia and Jon Stevens (Sherri) of Greensboro, brother-in-law: George Taylor (Marcia) of Richlands, NC, nephews: John Taylor (Billie Jean) of Moyock, NC, James Taylor (Becca) USAF of Aviano, Italy, great nephews: Noah and Mark Taylor of Moyock, NC and special friends: Gary and Lu Anne Loye of Reidsville.
