Alice Gosney Willis

Alice Gosney Willis, 73, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday April 26, 2022 at her home after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday April 29, 2022 at Community Baptist Church in Yanceyville, NC.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Thursday April 28, 2022at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence.

A native of Durham, NC she was a daughter of the late James and Mamie Phillips Daniels and had lived in Rockingham County since 1992. She was a retired clerk with the US Postal Service and was a member of Community Baptist Church. Alice was preceded in death by a brother: Charles Phillips, and sisters: Barbara Ann Hicks and Joy Lucille Perry.

Survivors include her husband: William Thomas “Buck” Willis of the home, sons: William Daniel “Dan” Willis (Janice) of Fayetteville, Donald A. Willis (Regina) of Newton, daughter: Rebecca W. Smith (Hu) of Sandy Springs, GA, and Melanie W. May (Will) of Winston-Salem, brothers: James Gosney (Gloria) and Josh Gosney both of Winter Garden, FL, and a sister: Merry Willis (Bobby) of Reidsville, fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
