William Cody Wilson, 16, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Sunday August 12, 2018 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital Greensboro, NC

A celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 18, 2018 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel.

He lived most of his life in Rockingham County and was a student at Rockingham County High School, where he was a member of the wrestling team,  the marching band and the concert band.  He also participated in The Future Farmers of America. He also was a former member of the track team at Rockingham Middle School.  A former member of Boy Scout Troup 701 at Calvary Baptist Church, he attended Osborne Baptist Church in Eden, NC, where he enjoyed participating in the youth activities. Cody was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. An accomplished horseman, winning numerous awards , he was an active member of the Patrick Henry Saddle Club. He also participated in the T.V. Show “The Best of America by Horseback” , where he had the opportunity to travel and meet many people across the country. He dearly loved Pat and Tom Seay, producers of the show. He also enjoyed anything with a motor, from ATV’s to just working on his jeep. He was a caring young man that would give you the shirt off his back.  With that being said, just a month ago while discussing getting his learners permit he decided that he wanted to be an organ donor. We honored his wishes and in doing so we found out just how special he really was, because he had a rare blood type that only five percent of the USA has. He has given the ultimate gift to several special people.

Surviving are his parents: James Russell “Rusty” and Tamara Reynolds “Tammy” Wilson of the home, brothers: Glenn Allen Wilson of Goldsboro, NC, and Zachary Tyler Wilson of the home, maternal grandfather:  William C. Reynolds of Reidsville and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Friday August 17, 2018 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of his aunt Lynn Rierson 1224 Fillman Dr. Reidsville, NC.
