Troy Martin

Troy Martin,81, passed into the presence of the King on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at the Hospice Home of Rockingham Co.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Citty Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 10:00 till 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment, with Military Honors, will be performed at 1:00PM on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the Salisbury National Cemetery Annex in Salisbury, NC.

Troy was a 1956 class graduate of Bethany High School and he served 22 years in the US Navy, with an Honorable Discharge, as a First Class Chief Petty Officer.  His last place of employment was the Friends Homes of Greensboro.  He was preceded in death by his father;  Stafford Martin, his mother;  Annie Doyle Martin, brother;  James H. Martin, sister;  Thelma Hubbard, son-in-law;  Phillip Murrell, and daughter;  Pamela Williams.

Surviving is his wife;  Doris Woodall Martin of Reidsville, daughters;  Sandra Murrell of Summerfield and Patricia Platts and husband;  Brooks of Charlotte, brother; Roy Martin and William “Bill” Martin and wife; Tyra, sister;  Sylvia Evans and husband;  Bill, 2 grandchildren;  Taylor Williams and Leigh Platts.
