Roger was the only child of the late Ralph and Cora Belanger Sinclair and was an all-star hockey player and local celebrity for his skills on the ice. He was invited into the Maine High School Hall of Fame and had an opportunity to pursue a career in professional hockey. Roger chose to enlist in the US Army and volunteered to serve his country in the Vietnam Conflict. After returning home from Vietnam, Roger met Jenny Fournier. She had a 2 year old son, named William (Bill). Roger fell in love with both of them. He married Jenny and legally adopted Bill in 1969. He promised to love and raise Bill as his own. Jenny and Roger had a second son in 1972, and named him Steven. Roger loved lifting weights and playing golf and enjoyed sharing these interests with his boys. Though he was a quiet man of very few words, Roger loved to laugh, and both boys remember growing up in a house full of love and laughter. Roger retired from serving his community as a mail carrier in 2007. In his retirement, Roger enjoyed playing golf, walking his dogs, spending time with his family and visiting with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Jennie Fournier Sinclair.
