Rodney Lee Cox,61, of Pelham died Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00PM Sunday, April 29, 2018, in Citty Funeral Home Chapel with Military Rites by the Rockingham Co. Veteran’s Honor Guard.
A native of Rockingham Co., he was a son of the late Leon and Grace Burgess Cox and had lived most of his life in the Pelham Community of Caswell Co. Rodney was a retired electrician, a US Army Veteran, and was of Baptist faith. He was an avid NASCAR fan , he was a member of the Palmetto Car Club and was an aspiring chef.
Surviving are daughters; B.J. Adams (Charles) of Gretna, VA, Angie Thomas (Scottie) of Providence, and Tara Craddock (Ronnie) of Reidsville, brothers; Ricky Cox (Lisa) of Blairs, VA, and Ritchie Cox (Rhonda) of Pelham, sister; Rhonda Pruitt (Danny) of Pelham, grandchildren; Alan Adams, Brandon Adams, Kaleb Hackett, Casey Hackett, Evan Adams, Alex Adams, Austin Thomas, Logan Thomas, Clayton Craddock, Katie Craddock, and Cody Craddock, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend; Fran Burgess.
The family will see friends immediately following the service at Citty Funeral Home and at other times, they will be at the home of his daughter: Angie Thomas 1091 Cascade Ln. Providence, NC 27315.
