Robert Lee Jones, Jr.

Robert Lee “Bob” Jones, Jr., 94, of Belmont, NC formerly of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Monday May 28, 2018 at his home.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday June 2, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Reidsville. The family will see friends 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. before the service at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens with military rites.                                                                                                          A native of Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late Robert Edward Lee Jones, Sr. and the late Lillian Stegar Jones and had lived most of his life in Reidsville. A graduate of Kerpel School of Dental Technology in Washington, DC, he was the retired co-owner and president of C & J Dental Laboratory which operated from 1950 till 1989 in Reidsville. A US Navy Air Corps veteran of WWII flying patrols as a gunner in the Caribbean, Atlantic and Pacific theaters, Bob was a very active member of First Baptist Church serving as Sunday School Superintendent for many years. He was a member and past president of the Reidsville Men’s Garden Club, and a past president of the NC Dental Lab Association. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Johnson Jones, and two sisters: Rosa Boatman and Alice Tramonte. Survivors include his son: Steve Jones and wife Denise of Florida; daughters: Bonnie Jones Kniska of Richmond, Va. and Sandy Jones  Lemons and husband Clay of Belmont, NC; grandchildren, Leigh Ann Lichty and husband Justin, Brett Jones and wife Jessica, Jacqueline Kniska-Comstock and husband Christian, Nick Kniska and wife Lindsie, Alex Lemons and wife Hayes, and Tyler Lemons and wife Alexandra; great grandchildren, Clara Lichty, Brynn and Russell Kniska, and Charles Wallace Lemons.
