Mary Tobin Hobbs

Mary Tobin Hobbs, 94, of Reidsville, NC, went to be with the Lord Tuesday February 26, 2019 at Curis Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center of Reidsville.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday February 28, 2019 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will see friends 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. before the service at the funeral home.

A native of St. Paul, MN, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Ragna Eng Tobin and had lived in Reidsville for most of her life. A former employee of J C Penney Department Store and was a retired employee of the Rockingham County Public Library System. She was a faithful member of Speedwell Presbyterian Church, where she served on many committees throughout the years, and was a member of the Rockingham County Naturalist Club. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Kemp Bonner Hobbs, Sr., a daughter: Jennifer H. Lewey, and sisters: Aubrey Eileen Hansen and Joan T. Duncan.

Survivors include her sons: Kemp Bonner “KB” Hobbs, Jr. of Danville, and Kenneth C. “Ken” Hobbs of Reidsville, and a granddaughter: Kristen Lewey of Raleigh.
