Larry Eugene Arthur, 75, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Saturday October 20, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A visitation will be held 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Friday October 26, 2018 at Citty Funeral Home. There will be no formal funeral services. A native of Beckley, W.Va., he was a son of the late Fred and Pauline Payne Arthur and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a retired truck driver, a member of the Teamsters Union and a US Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife: Phyllis Young Arthur, and brothers: Jim Arthur and Bobby Arthur.
Survivors include his daughters: Katherine A. Harkey (Gary Steven Harkey, Sr.) of Eden, Melody Dixon (Ronnie) of Tenn., his son: Gerald Eugene Arthur (Carol) of Keysville, Va., brothers: Billy Ray Arthur (Shelby) of Reidsville, and Johnny Arthur (Carolyn) of Blackstone, Va., sister: Nancy A. Toney (Dickie) of Reidsville, grandchildren: Jeremy Arthur Lumpkins, Hannah Lea Lumpkins, and John David Wriland, great grandchild: Penelope Jae Arthur.
