Kenneth Lee “Ken” Julian, 76, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday March 5, 2019 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday March 8, 2019 at Covington Memorial Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military rites.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late James D. and Elizabeth “Lizzie” French Julian and had lived in Reidsville his entire life. He was a retired captain with the Reidsville Fire Department, where he worked for thirty years. He was a US Navy Veteran serving on the USS Rushmore, and a member of the Jefferson Penn Masonic Lodge #384 AF & AM. Ken had his pilot’s license and at one time owned his own plane. He attended Calvary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Belmany and a brother Phillip Julian.

Survivors include: his son: Keith Julian (Lynne) of Reidsville, brother: Jimmy Julian (Linda) Eden, sister: Kay Tickle (Ken) of Summerfield and Rennie Bray of Reidsville, three grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, special friend from his Navy days: Joe Zamora, and a close family friend: Betty Lawrence.

The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Thursday March 7, 2019 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of his brother Jimmy Julian.
