John Wesley Shahan, 42, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Friday July 20, 2018 at his home.

By his request there will be no formal memorial service.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of Michael B. and Joan McCullen Shahan and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a former employee of Dixie Sales and had attended Elon College. John was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Harry W. and Cora Diehl Shahan and his maternal grandparents: John W. and Vera Powell McCullen.

Survivors include his parents: Michael B. and Joan McCullen Shahan of Reidsville, NC, his brother: Michael B. Shahan, II and wife Lisa of Haw River, NC, nieces: Stella Shahan and Sophie Shahan, Uncle: John W. Shahan and wife Garnet of Loganville, GA.

Memorials may be sent to: The Rockingham County Animal Shelter 250 Cherokee Camp Rd. Reidsville, NC 27320.

The family will see friends at their residence.
