James Franklin “Jimmy” Miller, 81, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Thursday September 6, 2018 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at Citty Funeral Home Chapel this Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 3:00 P.M., and will be officiated by Rev. Milton Kennon, Jr. Burial will take place at Reidlawn Cemetery. A native of Reidsville, NC, he was the son of the late Samuel Miller and the late Viola Pettigrew Delgado and lived in Reidsville his entire life. He retired from Burlington Industries after 43 years with the company and was an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he served as a Steward, Chairman of the Helping Hands, an Usher, and member of the Cemetery Committee.  Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife: Shirley Apple Miller, and a sister: Ann Bowers. Jimmy will be lovingly remembered by his children: Jeffrey L. Miller (Cindy), Johnny L. Wood, Rhonda W. Somers (Boyd), each of Reidsville, and Jennifer W. Bates (Tim) of Winston-Salem.  Jimmy will also be forever remembered by his thirteen grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, extended family and dear friends. The family will see friends from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. Sunday before the service at Citty Funeral Home and at other times, the family will be at the home of Johnny Wood—405 Thomas Street in Reidsville.
