Irmgard Scherrer "Bobbie" McKinney

Irmgard Scherrer “Bobbie” McKinney, 82, of Reidsville, NC, went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Annie Penn Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church 9904 NC Hwy 150 Reidsville, NC. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

A native of Heidelberg, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Georg and Anna Scheifling Scherrer and had lived in Rockingham County since 1975. She was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the W.M.U. Bobbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A homemaker, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garland LaVerne McKinney.

Survivors include:  her daughters: Jeanette M. “Jean” Malloy of Colfax, Martina M. “Tina” Waller (John) of Reidsville, and Linda M. Neal (Steve) of Reidsville; her son: Michael L. McKinney of Reidsville; special nephew Dietmar Scherrer of Germany; sister: Brigitte Reed of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren: Justin Waller (Beth), Amber Reed, Brittany M. Smith (Neil), Elizabeth A. Neal (Stacey), Emily M. Bottomley (Mitchell), Michael “Garrett” McKinney, Christopher T. Neal, and Joshua D. Malloy; five  great grandchildren: Natalie R. Smith, Blaine S. Reed, Lilly R. Bottomley, Misty R. Lawson and Benjamin G. Smith.

The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Monday October 8, 2018, at Citty Funeral Home and other times will be at the home of her daughter, Martina M. Waller, 378 Chickasaw Dr., Reidsville, NC.
