Elizabeth Neal Johnson, 100, died on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at the home of her daughter in Kernersville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00PM Friday, April 12, 2019, at Bethesda Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mac McDowell officiating. The family will see friends immediately following the service at the Neal home place. She will be buried in the Neal Family Cemetery in a private service.
A native of Caswell Co., she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Neal, Sr. and the late Amy Wall Garrett Neal and she had lived in Caswell Co. most of her life. Mrs. Johnson was a retired public school teacher with over 30 years service. She taught at Lawsonville Ave. School, Bethany School, Wentworth School, and Stony Creek School. Mrs. Johnson was the oldest member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, the women of the church, ADK, and the Caswell Homemakers Club. She was preceded in death by her husband; Kenneth Leon Johnson, Sr. and by 4 brothers.
Surviving is her son; Kenneth Leon Johnson, Jr. (Julie) of Wendell, daughter; Amy J. McKee and her partner; Duncan Spence of Kernersville, brother; Ben Jones Neal of Oxford, sister; Lelia N. Essic of Mocksville, grandchildren; Johnny Pender, Cabell Perry, Franklin Graves, & Michael Graves, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
