Edna Bryant Strader

Edna Bryant Strader, 77, formerly of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday January 1, 2019 at the Caswell House in Yanceyville, NC.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday January 5, 2019 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends 2:00 till 3:00 P.M. Saturday January 5, 2019 before the service at Citty Funeral Home.

A native of Rockingham,NC, she was a daughter of the late Guy Lynwood and Roberta Covington Bryant and had lived most of her life in Rockingham County, later moving to Greensboro. She was formerly Assistant to the President of Annie Penn Hospital. A member of Friendly Ave. Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband: Herman Jett Strader, Jr., and sisters: Carolyn Guinn and Jerri Williams.

Survivors include daughters: Tanya Strader (James David) of Madison, and Jennifer Nichols of Mechanicsburg, PA, grandchildren: Laura P. Norman (Dustin), Samuel Pugh, Anna Nichols, Meredith Nichols, Jonathan Nichols, and Noah Nichols, great grandchildren: Mason Norman and Marshall Norman, brothers: Richard Bryant (Carolyn), of Louisville, KY, Ray Bryant of Southport, Bobby Bryant (Diane) of Rockingham, James “Tee” Bryant (Donna) of Rockingham, and Guy “Cecil” Bryant of Rockingham, sister: Sarah B. Strader (Bryant) of Reidsville.
