Edith Lawrence Ward, 97, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Thursday October 11, 2018 at Annie Penn Hospital.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday October 15, 2018 in Evergreen Memory Gardens.
A native of Gaston County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Vance Fred and Louise Clark Lawrence and had lived in Rockingham County most of her life. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and was a former employee of American Tobacco Company. A member of Christian Fellowship Church, where she was the former organist. Edith was preceded in death by her husband: Jesse C. Ward, daughters: Pansy Louise Middleton, and Betty W. Barrett, grandchildren: JoAnn Clifton, Lauren Clifton, and Vanessa Brunk, brother: Fred Lawrence, and a sister: Elma L. Miller
Survivors include her daughter: Avra W. Waller of Reidsville, 10 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren, and three great great great grandchildren.
The family will see friends at Citty Funeral Home 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Sunday October 14, 2018.
