Darnese Joyner Stone

Reidsville, NC                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Darnese Joyner Stone, 88, died Thursday, September 27, 2018, at the Hospice Home of Rockingham co.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Citty Funeral Home Chapel and burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

A native of Rockingham Co, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Ada Dixon Joyner and she had lived in Rockingham her entire life.  Mrs. Stone was a former employee of the Greensboro News and Record and the Blue Grass Market.  She was a member of Faith Christian Church and was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; George Stone, her son; Cornel Lee Haney, brothers; Paul Joyner, Odell Joyner, & Harvey Joyner and sisters; Louise Lawson, Inez Till, & Lorene Sutton.

Surviving is her grandson;  Cornel Lee Shelton of Yanceyville, special nieces;  Barbara Falcone and Alison Barham.

The family will see friends from 6:00 till 8:00PM Friday, September 28, 2018 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the residence:  2008 Gibbs Rd.  Reidsville, NC 27320.  Memorials may be made to:  Hospice of Rockingham co.  P.O.
