Curtis Daniel McAlister, 39, of Reidsville formerly of Greensboro went to rest in eternal paradise Sunday October 7, 2018.
Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday October 13, 2018 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel.
A native of Reidsville, he had lived most of his life in Rockingham County. A server/bartender at The Kitchen and Market at Revolution Mill in Greensboro, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Curtis J. Porterfield and his paternal grandmother: Ethel C. McAlister.
Survivors include his mother: Rose Porterfield (Frank Wilson) of Eden, his father: Daniel Wayne “Danny” McAlister of Reidsville, his sister: Sarah L. Wilson of Eden, his maternal grandfather: Wayne McAlister (Lillian) of Summerfield, and his maternal grandmother: Katie Porterfield of Reidsville, numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and also a special Pomeranian “Tank”. Curtis was a very selfless individual. He was very kind and always had a smile on his face. He was a avid lover of sports specifically the Green Bay Packers and The Duke Blue Devils. He was a huge fan of the band “Rage Against The Machine”, and he spent a lot of time with friends and playing video games. Curtis had many dear friends whom he loved so much. He had two very special friends Stacie Dishon and Chet Asbill and goddaughter Emerson.
The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Friday October 12, 2018 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of his grandmother: Katie Porterfield.
