Clemmon Charles Smith II

Clemmon Charles Smith II, 63, of Brown Summit died Monday, September 24, 2018, at his home.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00PM Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Citty Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Lance Cole officiating.  The family will see friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

A native of Rockingham Co., he was a son of the late Clemmon C. “Cement” and Mary Rachel Beville Smith and had lived in Rockingham Co. all of his life.  Charles was a retired supervisor with UNIFI, a true handyman in every sense of the word and he enjoyed working around his home.  Charles was always ready to help a neighbor or friend and he loved sitting at McCollum’s Store and talking with his buddies, fishing at Cape Hatteras, and loved all of his animals, especially his burrow.

Charles is survived by the love of his life; his wife;  Wendy Smith of the home, brother; Ronald Smith of Reidsville, sisters; Carol S. Yeatts of Kernersville, Judy S. Reece (Mark) of Brown Summit, and Janis Smith of Reidsville, brother-in-law;  Robert Walker (Betsy) of Reidsville, special cousin; Dale Smith (Shirley) of Reidsville, many loving nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
