Carolyn Shields Branon

Carolyn Shields Branon, 76, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Saturday June 2, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 P.M. Tuesday June 5, 2018 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel.

A native of Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late Rufus Edward and Sudie Long Shields and had lived in Rockingham County most of her life.  She was a retired textile worker having worked at Market America and Rolane. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church in Greensboro and was preceded in death by her husband: William Kenneth Branon, a daughter: Beverly Jean Branon, and brothers: Floyd Edward Shields, James Leon Shields, Howard Henry Shields, and Bobby Eugene Shields.

Survivors include sons: Michael Wayne Branon of Greensboro, and Roger Dale Branon of Caswell County, NC, daughter: Susie Wright and husband Richard of Reidsville, sister: Frances Pauline Byerly of Tyro, NC, four grandchildren: Daniel Branon, Nicole Gravely, Kim W. Patterson, and Richie Wright,  six great grandchildren.

The family will see friends 3:00 till 4:00 P.M. Tuesday June 5, 2018 one hour before the service and at other times will be at 470 Butler Dairy Rd. Reidsville.
