Bernice Eugene Dixon

Bernice Eugene “Bernie” Dixon, 88, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at the Hospice Home of Rockingham Co.

Military graveside rites will be conducted at 11:00AM Friday, April 27, 2018, in Lakeview Memorial Park by the Rockingham Co. Veteran’s Honor Guard and officiated by Rev. Dave Huggins.

A native of Reidsville, he was a son of the late Harry Thomas and Bertha Clark Dixon and had lived in Greensboro from 1955 until he moved back to Reidsville in 2014.  He was a retired Supervisor with Cone Mills White Oak Plant, a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, and attended the First Baptist Church of Reidsville.  Bernie was preceded in death by his brothers:  Dwight Dixon, Jack Dixon, and Paul Dixon and by a sister:  Evelyn Carter.

Surviving is his sister;  Maxine D. Fargis (Mike) of Reidsville, brothers;  Max Dixon (Judy) of Rocky Mt. and Don Dixon  of Shelby, sister-in-law;  Linda R. Dixon of Reidsville and many loving nieces and nephews. 

The family will be at the home of his sister:  Maxine D. Fargis 2102 Meadowbrook Terrace  Reidsville, NC 27320. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham Co.  P.O.
