Jack Howard King



Jack Howard King, 91, of Greensboro died Monday, August 7, 2017, at Beacon Place.

Graveside services, with Military Rites, will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
A native of Deerfield Beach FL, he was a son of the late Robert A. and Laura Archibald King and had lived in Greensboro since 1960. Jack was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist church, a graduate of High Point College, and retired from United Analine. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and he was a pathfinder who parachuted in before D-Day to connect with the resistance fighters. Jack was also in the Battle of the Bulge and he served in Eisenhower’s Honor Guard. He was preceded in death by his wife: Sarah Anderson King and daughter Pamela Scott Bower.
Survivors include his son; Michael King (Beth) of Fuqua Varina, daughter; Sandra K. Budd (John) of Greensboro , grandchildren; Jason Bower (Becky) , Erin Bower Henry (Phil), Kevin Smith, and Erica Weaver (Jeremy), great grandchildren; Emma Bower, Elizabeth Bower, and Natalie Henry.
