Paul Robert Morris November 14, 2009

Paul Robert Morris, 85, of 1601 Country Club Rd. Reidsville, N.C. went to be with the Lord Saturday November 14, 2009 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday November 17, 2009 at Citty Funeral Home Chapel . Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park with military graveside rites.
A native of Sykesville, PA he was a son of the late John and Mary Skovran Morris and had lived in Reidsville for the past 31 years. A graduate of Penn State University, he later did graduate work at Syracuse University and at Cornell University. He was a retired employee of Chace Precision Metals (a subsidiary of G.T.E.) in Reidsville, was a former employee of Alternative Energy Corp. in Research Triangle Park, and formerly served as Project Manager of Waste to Energy in Mecklenburg Co. He also served for a short while as the Executive Director of the Reidsville Chamber of Commerce. A U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, he also served in the Iowa National Guard. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, a former member of the Reidsville Rotary Club and the San Juan, Puerto Rico Rotary Club. He was also a former member of the Kiwanis Clubs in Burlington, IA and Seneca Falls, NY. He was a Mason and served on the Board of Directors of the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Salvation Army and Community Chest (now United Way) in various towns. Paul was preceded in death by an infant son: Barry Lee Morris, a sister: Mary M. Margevich, and two brothers: John Morris, George Morris.
